Believed to be first Vietnamese lawyer to clerk for the federal court in the State of Texas (1984-86)

Believed to be first Vietnamese woman to graduate with honors from an ABA-accredited law school in Texas and in America, JD program (1984)

First Asian woman appointed to an executive position for the Houston Independent School District (1980, 22 years of age)
